Plug PC into Vera ETH2.

Holding down Vera's reset button, turn Vera on.  When releasing power button, power LED should be blinking.

At the MiCasVerde.com branded page, it reads "Please upgrade to the latest firmware."  Browse for the .trx file which you saved on your computer, click on the [Open] button, click on the [Upload new firmware] button.

Browser goes to next page automatically, reading "Upgrade complete.  Rebooting..." - click on the [Continue] button.

Requirements

Setup your computer to connect to Vera 2

  • IP: 192.168.1.5
  • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
  • Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Begin the process for flashing the firmware

  1. Plug PC into Vera ETH2.
  2. Holding down Vera's reset button, turn Vera on. When releasing power button, power LED should be blinking.
  3. Start Vera2 Firmware Flash Tool.
  4. Click "Browse target" button.
  5. Vera should appear in targets list.
  6. Click on "*UN*checkPID" radiobox, and click on "EraseNormal" dropdown box.
  7. Click the [Files] button.
  8. Download the file: Vera2 Intermediate Firmware and save it on your computer.
  9. Select the file Vera2 Intermediate Firmware
  10. Click the [Open] button to get the file.
  11. Click on the [OK] button on the BIN File Information dialog box.
  12. Click on the [Upgrade] button. File will be flashed, and you will see a dialog box saying success - close Upgrade Tool.
  13. Download the latest firmware ( .trx file ) from here: Official Announcements on our forum and save it to your computer.
  14. Open browser to 192.168.1.1.
