HOWTO Control LED Settings of GE Switch/Outlets

Prerequisites

  • Vera hardware
  • GE Switch / Outlet
  • UI5 firmware

Introduction

This is a short manual on how to control the LED Settings of GE Switch/Outlets.

LED On when Switch/Outlet is On

   1. Go to Vera's Dashboard (Open your Web browser and type the IP address of your Vera, or connect through mios.com.)

   2. In the UI, Find the Switch/Outlet you want to modify and click the Wrench icon.

   3. At the Device Settings screen, click the Device Options Tab.

   4. At the Device Options screen, click Add Configuration Setting.

   5. Under Configuration Settings enter the following values:

'3' in the Variable field 

'1 byte hex' from the Data Size drop down 

'1' in the Desired Value field

   6. Close the Device Settings screen by clicking the X.

   7. Click the red "Save" button at the top of the UI.

LED On when Switch/Outlet is Off (Default Setting)

   1. Go to Vera's Dashboard (Open your Web browser and type the IP address of your Vera, or connect through mios.com.)

   2. In the UI, Find the Switch/Outlet you want to modify and click the Wrench icon.

   3. At the Device Settings screen, click the Device Options Tab.

   4. At the Device Options screen, click Add Configuration Setting.

   5. Under Configuration Settings enter the following values:

'3' in the Variable field

'1 byte hex' from the Data Size drop down

'0' in the Desired Value field

   6. Close the Device Settings screen by clicking the X.

   7. Click the red "Save" button at the top of the UI.

LED Off Always

   1. Go to Vera's Dashboard (Open your Web browser and type the IP address of your Vera, or connect through mios.com.)

   2. In the UI, Find the Switch/Outlet you want to modify and click the Wrench icon.

   3. At the Device Settings screen, click the Device Options Tab.

   4. At the Device Options screen, click Add Configuration Setting.

   5. Under Configuration Settings enter the following values:

'3' in the Variable field

'1 byte hex' from the Data Size drop down

'2' in the Desired Value field

   6. Close the Device Settings screen by clicking the X.

   7. Click the red "Save" button at the top of the UI.
