Energy Alerts are issued when CAISO declares an electrical emergency to the businesses, governments and residents to voluntarily reduce their electricity use. The alert is used to prevent Stage 1 Electrical Emergencies - times when the demand for electricity is at its peak, typically during very hot weather.

You can subscribe for this alerts by choosing California - Flex you Power or you can test this feature by choosing For simulation only--do not use This will cause your vera unit to look for an alert at micasaverde.com (http://micasaverde.com/status.xml) every 60 seconds. If it founds that page it will trigger the scene.

In order to create this alert go here: http://micasaverde.com/test_dummy_alert.php Press go and wait 1 minute. After 1 minute the alert should be automatically deleted. If it's not you can manually delete it from here: http://micasaverde.com/del_dummy_alert.php
