6. To setup Vera you will need an internet web browser, like Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari. It can be a Windows PC, Mac, or Linux. The web browser must be on the same home network as Vera. If you previously had a home network setup and connected Vera's WAN port to it in step #3, your computer can be anywhere on that home network. Otherwise, use a network cable to connect your computer to one of Vera's 4 ports marked LAN. Vera also setup a secure wireless home network for you (aka Wi-Fi, or hotspot). You can connect to Vera using this wireless network instead. To do that, tell your computer to show you the available wireless networks. Specific instructions for different types of computers are shown in the network troubleshooting section. The name of the network Vera setup for you automatically is shown on the sticker on the front of the Quick Start Guide and printed on the bottom of Vera. Find the name in the list, select it, and then enter the wireless network password shown on the sticker.

7. Open your web browser and go to: http://findvera.com. Click the green "Setup Vera" button as shown below. If you don't see that button, read the network troubleshooting section.

Note: Vera will share your internet connection automatically. You can connect any other network devices to Vera's LAN1 through LAN4 ports, as well as to Vera's wireless network. These include other computers, security cameras, and so on. Vera will automatically detect compatible devices, like security cameras, and let you control or view them from outside the home using Vera's secure network. If you purchased wireless devices from Mi Casa Verde, like wireless security cameras, they were shipped to you pre-configured to work with Vera's wireless network. Just plug them in; there is nothing to configure.
