On the location tab you should set your timezone. You do not need to set the time itself within Vera. Vera automatically synchronizes the time using an online service each time Vera is powered on. Note that this means if you turn on Vera without an internet connection, of if you do not set the timezone, the timers you create may not work as expected.

Vera fires an event at sunrise and sunset, which you can use to trigger actions (see the Event tab). To calculate sunrise/sunset, you must specify the time and time zone, and Vera needs to know your longitude/latitude. Vera has the longitude and latitude of most cities in the world, so you can pick your country, region, and city using the pull-downs, and Vera will get the longitude/latitude automatically. If your city is not in the city, choose the nearest city or specify the longitude/latitude manually.
